| Welcome
to North Woods Quilting! |
Bob
and I opened our store on October 22, 2006, a little over a year
after Bob got back from his tour in Iraq.
While he was gone I did a lot more quilting than usual and found
out that I had a serious passion for it. I was working full-time
at the prison in Berlin but like a lot of people, I dreamed of having
my own business, doing what I love and actually being able to make
a living at it. There are a lot of people who quilt in the North
Country and with no quilt store close by, Bob and I both thought
it would be a good idea to have a quilt store up here. So we built
it!
The response has been very positive and
I have been so happy since opening the store. It's always scary
walking away from a "known" and risking all your money on
a possibility but sometimes you just have to take a chance. The
people I have met and continue to meet every day make it all worth
while. Quilters are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
You can
see from the pictures of our store that we worked hard
to make it a beautiful and inviting country quilt store. We have
approximately 1,500 bolts of fabric, many quilting notions, wall
hangings and quilts for sale. I also
do custom machine quilting above the quilt store. Come up and
see my work room and my Gammill Classic
Plus long arm quilting machine We also offer classes
at the store which have been a big hit.
We are easy to find on Route 16 in Milan. Come in to shop or just
to look at the beautiful quilts we have displayed in the store.
I'm confident you will find our prices not only competitive, but
very reasonable. We do accept MasterCard and Visa.
